WHat is political prisoner reform?

This is different from broader criminal justice reform, which addresses issues like sentencing, prison conditions, rehabilitation, and mass incarceration. Political prisoner reform zeroes in on those who are wrongfully detained for exercising their basic rights to speak, organize, or protest. These efforts combine advocacy, community engagement, and international pressure to secure freedom and hold governments accountable.
